Northshire Bookstore is seeking a part-time Sidelines Assistant / Bookseller for our Manchester, VT location.

This is a part-time, high-energy hybrid position with a focus on our curated sidelines merchandise including gifts, games and more (retail experience strongly preferred).

Our booksellers have a strong commitment to literature and this position provides exposure to multiple aspects of our retail experience.

Candidate should be enthusiastic and enjoy engaging with people. Tasks include handselling, shelving, inventory management, and Point of Sale computer systems.

This position requires someone who is detail oriented, possesses good organizational skills and will help maintain order and neatness in all sideline areas on and off the sales floor.

Restock the previous days sales 3 mornings a week (7-10am) and as backup when necessary

Restocking responsibilities are for Adult and Childrens sidelines

Keep all sideline merchandise well stocked, neat & organized, including high-traffic areas including greeting cards and childrens clothing

Work closely with the sidelines team

Be a positive presence on the sales floor when assisting customers in both sidelines and books

Become confident and knowledgeable in sidelines to actively assist our customers

Assist in setting up Sidewalk Sales twice a year

Help maintain accurate inventory numbers

Schedule flexibility is preferred

Up to 24 Hours per week with a flexible schedule that can include weekends and some holidays.
