Join our amazing multidisciplinary team in the Des Moines and Ames region.
We are looking for a Rehab Aide who will work at facilities (Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing facilities. This will include travel to 2 buildings in Ames and 5 buildings in Des Moines on different days of the week.
Travel will include 2-3 buildings in a day for a couple of hours each. Pay is included in travel time along with mileage reinbursement. A clean background check and driving record is required.
This position is ideal for a college student looking to enter the therapy field.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with overall cleanliness and maintenance of the clinical equipment and environment including laundry.
- Assisting with gathering intake paperwork from clients.
- Completing preparation of requested set up and clean up of requested therapeutic equipment.
- Assisting with some treatment of clients and understands and complies with supervisory regulations required by each discipline and practice acts.
- Assisting with administrative therapy projects as requested.
Once training and observation has taken place, the RA will assist the on-site supervising therapist in providing patient when possible:
- exercise plans
- warm or cool modalities
- assisting with equipment usage
- other duties as assigned by on-site therapist.
Employee will also perform clerical duties such as daily mail, faxing, inventory, taking messages, and filing of various paperwork in all patient folder
- Performing annual inventory of therapy equipment and updates inventory database.
Assisting with clinic orientation of volunteers, and students.
Understanding and complying with universal precautions, safety, HIPAA guidelines and risk policies and procedures.
Maintaining a positive working relationship with the health care team, patient, and family.
Other duties may be assigned.
