Northern Gear & Machining is looking to hire a careful Forklift Operator to move material around our facility. You will be operating a sit down/ride-on forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. Your job will involve driving around the manufacturing facility moving raw material stock, in process goods, chip carts, emptying waste bins, general facility maintenance, and using a ride-on floor scrubber. You must be a responsible individual with experience driving industrial vehicles. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency, as well as keeping the shop floor clean and maintained.

• Unload/load materials from incoming and outgoing vehicles and stack them to assigned places.
• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Transport raw materials and in process materials to production workstations.
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
• Moving and Emptying waste bins/chip carts/wood crates to dumpster.
• General maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, moving coolant, keeping aisles clean, organization of in process materials, other similar duties as assigned.
• Operate CNC Saw
• Use ride-on floor scrubber to keep aisles clean.
• Operate overhead crane to move bar stock bundles.
• Help maintain a safe, clean and orderly facility.

• Valid certification to operate a sit down forklift operator.
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
• Excellent physical condition and coordination.
