Northeast Valley Health Corporation is Hiring a HIT Clinical Support Specialist - PHMI Near Sylmar, CA

The HIT (Health Information Technology) Clinical Support Specialist for the Population Health Management Initiative (PHMI) and the Technology Grant, facilitates and promotes the introduction, acceptance, integration, and effective use of Innovaccer (Population Management Software) and related system functionality and workflows. The HCSS/PHMI staff provides high level system expertise to staff in the area of training, implementation, elbow support, consultation, coaching, mentoring, problem solving and report development. The HCSS/PHMI staff collects and analyzes data to monitor Innovaccer use, enhance user efficiency and effectiveness with application. The HCSS/PHMI staff works collaboratively with the QI/PHMI Team and IT Staff to resolve system issues, makes and documents recommendations, and reports to the QI/PHMI Program Manager, and external PHMI Teams including Kaiser, Alliance Chicago, and Innovaccer staff, as well as internal NEVHC committees when necessary.

REPORTS TO: Program Manager - PHMI Quality Improvement and the Program Manager IT

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) equivalency.

2. 5 years Medical Assistant or 2 years Licensed Vocational Nurse experience desired.

3. Prior experience in clinical operations, EHR systems implementation and/or support with progressively more complex responsibilities.

4. Computer literate with basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office.

5. Excellent Oral and Written communication skills, good phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.

6. Strong skills required in critical thinking and data analysis and problem solving.

7. Ability to provide training and support in a calm and patient manner.

8. Self-motivated and able to work with limited direct supervision.

9. Flexible evening and weekend work hours.

10. Achieves and maintains proficiency in Nextgen by successfully acquiring Nextgen HER and EPM certification withing the 90 days get acquainted period.

11. Current California driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage and a driving record acceptable to the NEVHC’s insurance carrier (if required to drive on the job).
