General Manager - Cannabis Dispensary

Northeast Select Harvest, aka NESH, is an adult-use dispensary located in Davis Square, Somerville. We are a small business that is locally owned, and independently operated. Position Summary:

*** MUST HAVE MA CANNABIS INDUSTRY MANAGERIAL EXPERIENCE ***

The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the dispensary facility, ensuring that dispensary operations run efficiently while remaining compliant with State regulations and NESH Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). In this role, much of your time will be spent on the training and development of staff, driving sales, ensuring guests receive top notch service, upholding brand standards, and operating all aspects of the dispensary. You will develop, manage, and maintain NESH’s top notch services by meeting desired goals and objectives-on time and within budget. This position reports to the CEO.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

· Maintain a current knowledge of Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) regulations and NESH SOPs to ensure State regulations and company SOPs are communicated to team members and department operations remain within compliance

· Responsible for the P&L and successful strategy execution

· Engage cross functionally with key stakeholders to develop and support beneficial initiatives and programs

· Actively educate and share knowledge of products, content, and production processes with staff and customers

· Create, implement, and manage the SOPs for the company’s retail programs

· Support all performance management for the team: training, development, promotions, performance appraisals and salary increases, disciplinary actions and terminations

· Perform regular facility inspections to ensure operations are within CCC and company compliance to promote a safe environment for staff as well as members of the community

· Analyze and review daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance metrics- including sales volumes, customer service scores, and employee productivity

· Maintain working knowledge of business processes, system development, Point of Sale (POS), and cash management processes

· Work closely with Inventory and Marketing departments to create a seamless work flow and unique shopping experience

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree or 2-5 years of management experience in a retail setting

· Cannabis industry management experience

· Must pass a comprehensive background check (CORI) annually to ensure compliance within Cannabis Control Commission regulations and NESH SOPs

· Must be at least 21 years of age

· High School Diploma or GED required

· Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs.

Environmental Factors & Physical Requirements:

Employees may be required to bend, squat, kneel, crouch, climb, crawl, complete repetitive hand movements, and/or walk intermittently throughout the day. Employees be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time. Employees may also be exposed to company approved chemicals for sanitation purposes. Team members will also be exposed to packaged cannabis and cannabis products while onsite.
