North East Select Harvest, aka NESH, is an adult-use dispensary located in Davis Square, Somerville. We are a small business that is locally owned, and independently operated. Position Summary:

The Budtender reports to the General Manager (GM). The Budtender responsibilities and priorities include answering questions about the state’s cannabis program and regulations, participating in community events inside and outside the dispensary, and being able to work all Front of the House workstations including reception, hosting, sales floor /consulting, sales, data entry, cleaning and other duties as needed, with a focus on compliance with MA state laws, Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) regulations, company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and loss prevention. A detailed understanding of all State regulations regarding the sales of cannabis products and ensuring compliance is essential to this job.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

· Provide excellent service for all guests

· Basic math skills including accurate handling of cash and debit card transactions

· Be able to educate guests on available cannabis products and consumption methods, customizing recommendations to needs and experience levels

· Be able to educate guests on all available non-cannabis products available

· Assist in Opening and Closing procedures

· Assist with product set-up on retail floor

· Fulfill pre-order sales

· Execute operational initiatives on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis

· Deliver results by ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly

· Support all safety and security policies within retail stores

· Exercise independent judgment, analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner

· Identify opportunities to improve workflow and remain current with industry best practices, trends, and technologies

· Improve the business processes for all aspects of operations through analysis and collaboration with IM, GM, and vendor partners

· Strong analytical skills and judgment along with close attention to detail and organization

· Working knowledge of G Suite and Microsoft Office

Required Qualifications:

· Customer Service, Retail Experience 1 years (preferred)

· Cannabis industry required.

· Experience with METRC and LeafLogix/Dutchie OS a plus

· Must pass a comprehensive background check (CORI) annually to ensure compliance within Cannabis Control Commission regulations and NESH SOPs

· Must pass annual required training

· Must be at least 21 years of age

· High School Diploma or GED required

· Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs.

Environmental Factors & Physical Requirements:

Employees may be required to bend, squat, kneel, crouch, climb, crawl, complete repetitive hand movements, and/or walk intermittently throughout the day. Employees be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time. Employees may also be exposed to company approved chemicals for sanitation purposes. Team members will also be exposed to packaged cannabis and cannabis products while onsite.
