As a Therapist, you'll play a vital role in providing community-based alternatives to emergency departments. NKHS is a Designated Agency contracted with the State of Vermont to provide the highest quality of service in the areas of adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, children and youth with serious emotional disabilities, and adults with mental health and substance use challenges. We serve the populations of Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans counties through a wide variety of targeted programs for individuals of all ages. Visit us at NKHS.org Check out Life in the NEK of Vermont RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE Screen and diagnose individuals.Evaluate crisis situations, provide counseling, assess risks, and refer.Offer brief therapy centered on clients' needs.Conduct mental health assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with the team.Build relationships with NKHS and community agencies.QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree in a recognized field of mental health required, licensed preferred. 1-2 years of relevant experience providing therapy services to both mental health and addictions population required, certification preferred. Emergency/Crisis experience (minimum 1 year) dealing with acute psychiatric assessment and dispositions, preferred.SALARY & BENEFITSCompetitive Salary starting at $52,603 based on experience. 403b retirement plan with Agency contribution and match.Experience a generous leave package promoting work-life balance: 36 paid days off per year, with 12 vacation days, 12 sick days, and 12 paid holidays.
