Overview:
The Elementary Team Lead Pastor focuses on providing pastoral leadership for the 3rd-5th grade ministry, ensuring the physical and spiritual well-being of NE Kids. They also have oversight of our kindergarten through second grade ministry, and NE Kids first impressions ministry. All of NE Kids ministries are lead with a unified vision driving a consistent ministry experience for the kids and families involved.

Responsibilities NE Kids Elementary Team Lead:

1. Oversight and mentoring for all Elementary NE Kids team staff including K-2, 3-5 and First Impressions leaders.

2. Oversight and knowledge of all volunteer roles, job descriptions and ministry needs. Understands and utilizes a system built on replication in all ministry areas.

3. Oversight of process, procedures, and systems in all NE Kids Elementary Ministries.

4. Oversight and assists with special events K-5: camps, retreats, leader training, etc.

5. Oversight and implementation of a 5 year ministry plan (K-5th) that builds a solid Christian foundation and deepens a child’s faith in Jesus.

6. Oversight of budget expenditures for all NE Kids Elementary ministries, prepares and submits new budgets annually to the Executive Pastor over Family & Prayer.

7. Analyze current policies, modify to meet present requirements, train and equip NE Kids Elementary Ministry leaders/volunteers to execute accordingly.

8. Create intentional rhythms for parent engagement within the ministries, reinforcing and equipping parents to be the primary disciple maker at home.

9. Leads weekly programming and monthly team meetings for NE Kids Elementary ministries

10. Leads team development: spiritual, personal and professional.

Responsibilities NE Kids 3rd – 5th grade Pastor:

1. Ministry Programming:

• Edit large group curriculum & serve as programming director in 3rd-5th grade area for weekend services: including Bible stories, song selection, games, teaching illustrations, & videos.
• Recruit, train, and team build with tech (audio/video), small group leaders, large group teachers, & volunteer worship leaders.
• Collaborates with the children’s ministry team (NE Kids team) for big idea themes & Sunday programming.
• Creates engaging environments utilizing preservice time, stage, props, & teaching visuals.
• Edit small group curriculum to compliment large group experience and reinforce weekend themes.
• Create contagious small group environments that maximize getting children into circles to learn.
• Oversees small group environments & assimilating children who are not regular attendees into a small group.

2. Beyond Belief:

• Oversees the development, organization, and direction of Beyond Belief.
• Leads the class as needed.
• Develops a system to replicate leaders and supports the current volunteers directly related to our Beyond Belief class.
• Assists families with information about Beyond Belief and our baptism policies.

3. Calendar Events:

• Collaborates with NE Kids team in leading and co-leading calendared events throughout the year.
• Collaborate with NE Kids team to ensure that NECC aspirational vision targets are consistently implemented into elementary ministries.
• Collaborates with NECC staff on outreach opportunities and partners with church wide events.

4. Volunteer Care

• Creates and maintains intentional rhythms and systems to care, support, and develop volunteer leaders.
• Creates and maintains a leadership pipeline for current and future volunteers.

Education & Experience Required:

- Seminary or Ministry related degree

- Full time experience in family ministry for at least 5 years

- Preferred leadership experience with staff direct reports
