Program Specialist NBI—Full Time Position

Program Specialist, full time with benefits, responsible for assisting our resident-Neighbors to understand, engage, and progress through the program by motivating, prompting, and training such skills as memory compensation, schedule-keeping, way finding, emotional self-regulation, social interaction, and self-advocacy. The ideal candidate will be energetic, even-tempered, and excellent communicator, able to project personal warmth, speak plainly, and enjoy helping others help themselves. Must also be equally comfortable speaking one-on-one as to a group.

The current opening is for our Neurobehavioral Unit, 4 day week, 10 hour shift, Wednesday through Saturday. May be required to perform physical intervention with behavioral individuals. Mandt Certification Training will be provided. Having personal interests and hobbies outside of work is a plus. Must be able to accept constructive criticism, think independently, keep promises, and adhere to policies. Note: This is an excellent position for those interested in a career in mental health to gain invaluable clinical experience, especially those interested in a career in psychology, neuropsychology, or social work. You will serve as a core member of the treatment team and gain experience working alongside these disciplines, assisting in case formulations, treatment planning, and intervention. .

Requirements: HS diploma and at least one year associated experience in health care or educational environment required; AA degree preferred.
