Pay rate: $17.00/hr

Primary Responsibilities:

Event Support:

• Provides support to events occurring in the Black Box.
• Inspects facilities prior to event starting/customer arriving, ensures the space is meets the terms of the event sheet description.
• Monitors guests to ensure only assigned areas are utilized and accessed.
• Coordinates and directs onsite vendors during set up and clean up.
• Removes all trash and food from Black Box, kitchen and common areas post event.
• Secures building after event including checking all doors and turning off all lights/equipment.
Communicates with Event Coordinator and/or designee regarding issues and concerns.

Event Set Up:

• Supports Event Coordinator in set up of Black Box, Lobby and common areas according to event sheet.
• Facilitates furniture placement according to plans.
Ensures facility is clean, neat and meets expectation of paying customer.

Requirements:

• Prior experience working in a customer service or event setting.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Professional, friendly, organized and able to remain calm under pressure. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines. Ability to represent the Black Box and Northeast Arc to clients and guests. Willingness to be supportive and flexible to meet client’s need.
• Be able to stand/sit for up to 2-hours at a time
• Be able to lift items of up to 50lbs
• Able to use stairs to access production booth
