Exciting opportunity for a full-time Job developer in a vibrant supported Employment Program at Northeast Arc conveniently situated in Danvers, MA

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm, in general, with flexibility to work alternate hours at times depending on needs of individuals and employers.

The Job Developer provides employment readiness training to individuals supported by Northeast Arc. Identifies employment opportunities within local communities. Assists individuals to secure employment within the community.

Major Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and facilitate career planning, interest inventories, resume writing and pre-employment trainings.
• Develop a job coaching/support plan when a placement is secured.
• Record all communication and fulfill all necessary follow up tasks.
• Supports Employment Specialists with job coaching needs and ensures the appropriate level of support is being provided to individuals served with competitive jobs.
• Maintains professional communication both orally and in writing and regular contact with employers, families, guardians, and funding sources. Makes sound clinical decisions and appropriate interventions and seeks assistance from a supervisor when necessary.
• Meets physical and personal care needs of the individuals supported by the program
• Transport individuals in own personal vehicle (with mileage reimbursement). Perform advocacy and case management responsibilities.

Education and Experience: GED and two years’ experience working with intellectually and/or developmentally disabled adults required. Good oral and written communication skills. Team player

Current valid Massachusetts Driver's license.

Physical Demands:

• Must have physical capabilities to lift up to 50lbs. Must be able to stand/walk up to one hour uninterrupted.

Salary: $22.00 to $23.00/hour (plus mileage reimbursement) with an extensive benefits package including health, dental, generous paid time off, tuition reimbursement and more!!!
