responsible for organizing and directing the implementation of new patient care applications in the hospital information system; maintaining and supporting existing patient care applications throughout the enterprise; proficient with the automation efforts in all clinical areas and work with those areas to utilize clinical applications in the most efficient way; coordinating with clinical areas and vendors for system updates to ensure systems are up to date; interact with Physicians on a daily basis to provide system usage assistance and training; works closely with the Financial Analyst in areas of patient processing and clinical/financial interfacing and with the Operations area in responding to hardware issues for the patient care area.

BS or BA degree in Information Systems with certification in a clinical field. BS or BA degree in Healthcare or related field such as Medical Technology, Nursing, etc.

3 years of job related experience. If all experience is in clinical areas, some aptitude for us of computers and automation to advance patient care must be shown. Prefer 3 to 5 years of clinical experience.

Any current state licensing is required to be kept up to date.
