Northwest Healthcare is in search of multiple Nursing Managers across the Healthcare System in Tucson, AZ.
Each manager position is a full time, exempt position, typically working a Monday through Friday work week. As a full time employee, the Nurse Manager is eligible for all offered Northwest Healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401k, employee discounts, and more!
Nurse Manager positions are available in the following departments:
Operating Room at Northwest Medical Center
MSICU at Northwest Medical Center
Acute Care Telemetry (Cardiac Step Down) at Northwest Medical Center
Emergency Services at Northwest Medical Center
Telemetry at Northwest Medical Center
MedSurg at Northwest Medical Center
The Nurse Manager plans and implements the overall nursing policies, procedures, and services for a unit. Maintains nursing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training clinical staff. Ensures that nurses are current in competencies, assessments, licensure, certifications, and other annual training. May provide direct patient care and is responsible for assessing, planning, and evaluating patients.
As an organization leader, this position shares accountability for facilitating organizational and department goals using effective leadership knowledge, skills and abilities that ensure achievement of expected results for patient/customer service, employee engagement, financial health, business growth and quality and safety outcomes.
Education
Required: Associates degree or Diploma in nursing program
Preferred: Bachelors degree (BSN) in nursing.
Experience
Required: Five (5) years experience in the area of specialty, and two (2) years of supervisory/management experience.
Licenses/Certifications
Required: Current Arizona RN license or compact state license and American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS; ACLS for applicable departments; PALS for applicable departments
Preferred: Nationally recognized certification in area of expertise.
