Programs of service include an 87-bed, Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services licensed, Joint Commission accredited psychiatric residential treatment facility, a Partial Hospitalization Program, and a 40-bed acute psychiatric hospital. Our clinical department is welcoming a full-time Psychologist to assist our residential team by providing psychological assessments as dictated by the treatment plan and within a time frame established by facility policy, psychotherapy and clinical care services for resident age 9 to 17 and their families.

Key responsibilities: Provides psychological assessments as dictated by the treatment plan and within a timeframe established by facility policy. Provides psychotherapy services for residents to include individual, family and group therapy scheduling and facilitation of treatment team reviews and documentation. Attends all treatment teams for assigned residents. Attends weekly/monthly clinical supervision as assigned. Provides weekly clinical supervision as assigned. Approximately, 80% to 100% of psychological evaluations are completed for the facility (dependent on clinical caseload). Coordinates multifamily/group/family education group. Staff training On call/weekend coverage for clinical services. Completes all program notes before the end of the business day. Completes psycho-social assessment within 72 hours of admission. Monthly treatment team reports are due 48 hours before treatment team. Responds to crisis situations and manages resident behaviors in accordance with the Behavioral Management Program. Assists with the unit milieu to guide the development of acceptable habits and attitudes by consistently and fairly implementing the behavioral program, emphasizing good choices, and positive interactions. Consistently follows the program schedule and implements all safety and security procedures. Serve as a role model for residents. Other duties as assigned based on the needs of the facility.

Location: Beautiful Leesburg, Virginia, 40 miles Northwest of Washington DC. Named one of the best places to live by Money magazine. 45-acre campus in a rural area on the northern edge of Leesburg with a gymnasium, beautiful outdoor campus and high ropes course. Excellent public school system.

Compensation package: Competitive salary. Three meals a day provided at no cost to employees.

Minimum requirements: Doctorate in Psychology or related field. At least one year recent experience in a residential setting with appropriate population preferred. Licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Must be at least 21 years of age. Offer will be subject to a criminal background investigation and pre-employment drug screen. A combination of mental health experience and relevant education to deliver psychotherapy service to consumers. The required knowledge, skills and abilities must be documented and observable in the application form and interview and can be verified by additional references. Good verbal and written skills, ability to rotate shifts and units as necessary, and ability to maintain residents' confidentiality. Knowledge of principles of psychology and child growth and development are also necessary. Limit-setting, responding to children and adolescents in a caring, mature manner, while maintaining professional boundaries necessary. Must consistently exhibit mental and emotional ability to understand and perform the essential functions of the job.

Pay: $62,656.00 - $152,327.00 per year
