The J. Turner Hood Elementary School is seeking a full time General Education Teacher beginning in school year 2023-2024. In this role, you will be responsible for co-teaching in collaboration with a team of special education teachers in the RISE Program.

Essential duties

• Direct instruction of students
• Plan unit/lessons
• Assess student learning through regular monitoring of student progress
• Support faculty and administration in the best interest of students
• communicate effectively with families regarding curriculum, student progress, and classroom/school activities
• Other duties as determined by the building Principal, Director of Student Support, or their Designee

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Masters Degree preferred
• Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education teaching license in Elementary grade levels 1-6
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Collaborative working demeanor
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
