Position Summary:
The Vaccine Program Coordinator will affect the productive and efficient operation of assigned clinic or department through timely and attentive administrative support. Manage the vaccines for the clinic. Supports the medical team with keeping vaccines up to date. Good record keeping in following with the Vaccines for Children program and adult vaccinations and keeping the clinic compliant. Able to administer and educate staff on how to administer vaccinations.

As duties for Vaccine Program are complete, provide assistance in the Pharmacy department.

Position Requirements:
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Successful completion of a medical terminology course
Previous work history of working in a medical clinic or in a medical role.
Current license active, MA-C, pharmacy technician, LPN preferred
Experience
Demonstrated success with clear thinking and ability to reorganize as needed.
Demonstrated success in working independently, prioritization and problem solving.
Demonstrated success in organization abilities.
Demonstrated success in computer skills including ability to use EMR records, word documents and reasonable keyboard skills.
Demonstrated success in customer service/patient services or working with the general public, preferably in an ambulatory medical facility.
Demonstrated success in managing difficult customer situations.
Significant knowledge of medical practices and procedures in a primary care environment.
Demonstrated success and experience with direct patient services and the proper knowledge and use of medical devices and equipment.
Working Conditions
Normal outpatient ambulatory working environment. Requires good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to speak and read the English language.
Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift to a maximum of 20 pounds.
The noise level is usually moderate with many conversations occurring at the same time.
