The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Nursing Supervisor to join our team at NOHN. As a leader in our Nursing department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care by supervising and supporting our nursing staff. You will contribute to departmental success by supporting program development, performance management, and collaboration with various stakeholders.

Currently we are hiring for two supervisory positions:

  • Clinical Nurse Supervisor
  • Care Management Nurse Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Staff Development:
    • Provide effective day-to-day supervision, coaching, and mentoring to nursing staff within your “track”.
    • Oversee clinical education programs, including staff training and competency development.
    • Foster a positive and supportive work environment for optimal team performance.
  • Quality and Performance Improvement:
    • Collaborate with the Quality Department on initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
    • Identify and implement quality improvement opportunities within the Nursing Services department.
    • Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback to promote continuous growth.
  • Strategic Initiatives and Collaboration:
    • Support the implementation of NOHN's Strategic Plan as it relates to Nursing Services.
    • Partner with other departments and community organizations to optimize patient care delivery.
  • Specific Supervisory Duties (tailored to each track):
    • Care Management Nurse Supervisor:
      • Lead and support Care Coordinators in connecting patients with appropriate services for improved outcomes and satisfaction.
      • Oversee nurses who assist high-risk populations in creating and achieving patient-centered goals through chronic care management, triage, and population-specific care management.
    • Clinical Nurse Supervisor:
      • Supervise nurses who provide crucial clinical services such as annual wellness visits, diabetic education, wound care, and OBAT programs.

Qualifications:

  • Preference for candidates with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Active WA State RN licensure required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN/BSN in a clinical setting.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a Nursing Services department (or similar) is a strong plus.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop staff.
  • Strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Preference for candidates with good standing with the Nursing Board.
