Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Compliance Specialist, Fiscal Programs oversees and is responsible for supporting fiscal programs compliance of North Olympic Healthcare Network (‘NOHN”) by reviewing, evaluating and demonstrating compliance with statutory rules and regulations and internal policies and procedures that govern the health center, under the guidance of the Manager, Fiscal Programs.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Achieve Results:

  • Monitor and support NOHN’s Fiscal Programs for compliance and performance.
  • Maintain copies of reports for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, develops/implements corrective actions plans for resolution of issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid recurrence.
  • Provides updates on compliance testing to the Manager, Fiscal Programs, CFO, and/or 340B Advisory Committee.
  • Conduct research on compliance topics, including but not limited to new or updated federal regulations, pharmacy laws and related areas of known risk.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Operational Excellence

  • Demonstrate and safeguard NOHN’s compliance with HRSA program rules and regulations.

Relationship Management

  • Maintain effective, positive relationships amongst the staff, peers and management.

Qualifications


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have completed applicable post-secondary education.

Qualifications and Key Skills

  • Must have strong working knowledge of computers, office automation software and related tools. Specifically, MSOffice suite applications Excel and Word.
  • Experience with Epic Systems medical health record preferred.
  • Previous exposure or experience with HRSA regulations and associated compliance requirements is preferred

  • Create, maintain, and support a positive culture.

Physical/Environmental

  • Normal accessibility and mobility throughout the region required.
  • May on occasion need to work overtime/extended work hours.
