What a Shipping Clerk will do:

• Coordinate and prepare documentation for international shipments including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and any other required customs documents
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, hazardous materials guidelines (IATA, IMDG, etc.), and company policies
• Classify hazardous materials accurately according to international standards and prepare appropriate labels and safety data sheets
• Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and internal departments to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods
• Monitor shipments and provide updates to relevant stakeholders on status, delays, and estimated delivery times
• Maintain meticulous records of all shipments, inspections, and compliance checks
• Conduct regular training sessions for the shipping department on hazardous materials handling and shipping compliance
• Continuously review and improve shipping processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure environmental compliance

What you need to be a Shipping Clerk:
