North Jersey Family Foot and Ankle Specialists is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Totowa, NJ

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will work closely with the physician and staff to provide exceptional patient care. This position requires an understanding of medical terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:
-Patient intake and review of medical history with entry into electronic medical record
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and minor surgical procedures
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Prepare patients for X-rays and other diagnostic tests
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and procedures
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families

Requirements:

- Podiatry, orthopedic or dental experience a plus

-Previous experience working in a medical or dental office setting is preferred but willing to train
- Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems (Athena) preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information, HIPPA regs
