Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our team. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our students. This position requires strong medical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide compassionate care to students.
Duties:
- Provide direct nursing care to students and staff members
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor and assess student health conditions
- Conduct health screenings and maintain accurate health records
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individual healthcare plans for students with chronic illnesses or special needs
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care as needed
- Educate students on health-related topics such as hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention
- Maintain a clean and organized healthcare facility
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Experience working as a nurse in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficient in administering injections and performing IV insertions
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of student health information
- Ability to assess vital signs and conduct patient assessments
