North Community Counseling Centers is Hiring a Public Relations Coordinator (PR) Near Columbus, OH

NCCC is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and passionate Public Relations Coordinator to represent NCCC and play a crucial role in shaping and maintaining the organization's public image. They will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communication plans, managing all media relations, including social media and building positive relationships in the community. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in front of crowds and on video, be able to give presentations, and speak clearly about the agency and mission.

The PR Coordinator will be mission focused and eager to learn the role public relations plays in the world of nonprofit organizations. The PR Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining all social media, overall brand management and advertising for NCCC. The PR Coordinator will work with and report to the Marketing Manager. They will be accountable for the organization and execution of campaigns, and events, the distribution of publication materials, email marketing and website content development. A strong candidate for this position is someone who is creative, able to work independently, well organized, motivated, and dependable.

DETAILS

  • This is a part-time position requiring 20 hours per week with the potential for full-time.
  • Flexible work schedule with a mix of in-person office and remote hours.
  • All applicants must reside in Columbus, OH or be attending a university in the Columbus-Metro area.
  • All applicants must hold a driver’s license.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and improve stock image drive to support the development of communications and publications materials.
  • Create and establish a consistent social media calendar across major platforms (i.e, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and X).
  • Develop social media and email marketing content that contributes to NCCC’s vision and mission, and is relevant to the audience base.
  • Produce content for email marketing campaigns on a weekly basis, as well as, template design for the campaign.
  • Generate marketing campaigns for social media that promote mental health and addiction services as it relates to NCCC.
  • Maintain updates to website and suggest and implement areas for improvement.
  • Prepare promotional materials including but not limited to organizational flyers, brochures, rack cards, etc.
  • Assist in the organization and execution of promotional events and traditional or digital campaigns.
    • Willingly accepts other administrative and department duties as needed.

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

    . Experience with public speaking and public relations

    • Previous experience with Canva, preferred.
    • Past experience with WordPress, preferred.
    • Basic knowledge of mental health and substance-use treatment.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • High School Diploma; Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Social Media Management, Graphic Design, Event Coordination, Business Management or a related field.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, marketing computer software, or other content management software.
