NORTH COAST COMMUNITY HOMES is Hiring a Housekeeping Resident Support Specialist Near Akron, OH

Reports To: Housing Services ManagerFLSA Status: Non-exempt

SUMMARY: Assists tenants in maintaining units and completes general housekeeping as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists tenants on a recurring schedule as assigned in cleaning and maintaining tenant’s apartment to standards required by the lease.
  • Assists in cleaning of shared common areas as required and assigned.
  • Provides access to units for partners and third-party contractors as necessary.
  • Assists in unit turnover preparation as required and assigned.
  • Develops and maintains an effective working rapport with tenants, vendors, and representatives of community agencies.
  • May occasionally complete minor repairs.
  • Represents the interest of NCCH in an appropriate and professional manner.
  • Completes required paperwork on an accurate and timely basis.
  • Immediately notify senior staff of any safety hazards.
  • Operates tools and equipment in a safe manner. Follows prescribed equipment and vehicle maintenance schedules as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience
    Established work record.
  • Language skills
    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Mathematical skills
    Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics.
  • Communication skills
    Ability to work with and among persons with disabilities, ability to cooperate and communicate with co-workers, tenants, and the general public.
  • Reasoning ability
    Ability to diagnose and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Certificates, licenses, registrations
    If assigned to drive a vehicle must have valid drivers license and be insurable under NCCH’s insurance policy.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock.
