NORTH COAST COMMUNITY HOMES is Hiring a Bookkeeper & Office Manager Near Garfield, OH

Reports To: Controller
FLSA Status: Part-time, Non-exempt
SUMMARY: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team. In this position, you will play a key role in managing our business expenses and maintaining an efficient and professional working office environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESBookkeeping
  • 24-28 hours per week with potential of full-time status
  • Perform general bookkeeping duties, including posting information to accounting software and regularly reconciling accounts
  • Download invoices from vendor websites
  • Upload vendor invoices to Accounts Payable Automation System and ensure accuracy
  • Review the accuracy of all invoices, including invoice number, date, amount, memo, and location
  • Take all reasonable discounts on vendor invoices
  • Mail weekly checks to vendors
  • Maintain an organized and streamlined filing system, including but not limited to invoices, purchase orders, and packing slips
  • In addition, you will also collaborate and communicate with employees and vendors to ensure the accuracy of financial transactions
  • Assist A/P Manager as needed
  • Cash/Checks received recording and tracking
Office Manager
  • Greet all visitors
  • Open, sort, and distribute mail
  • Maintain all office equipment (e.g. copier) and support staff in the operation of equipment
  • Manage Office Supplies
  • Maintain Company Calendar
  • Provide clerical and administrative support, such as organizing electronic files and other duties as assigned
  • Assist with company functions and events 
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of high school diploma, General Educational Development (GED), or equivalent
  • Years of Experience: 1-2 years bookkeeping experience. Nonprofit financial experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping principles
  • Experience with accounting software: preference will be given to candidates with a strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop accounting software package
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must demonstrate effective written and oral interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor
  • Ability to identify errors and solve problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must demonstrate ability to be highly detailed and organized, and able to prioritize multiple duties and deadlines. Discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information is crucial.
