Director of Substance Use Services/DOC Coordinator

The Director of Substance Use Services/DOC Coordinator is responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring and supervision of the services of the Substance Use program, ITCD program, Medication Assisted Treatment Program, Opioid Use Program, and DOC program.

B. DUTIES

  • Develop, implement and provide oversight of all programs and services related to substance use and DOC.
  • Create staff development and training plans for staff.
  • Monitor the Youth SUD program.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the programs and performance of staff to meet established program goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement community relations, and act as a liaison between referral sources, other agency programs, and staff.
  • Cooperate with other agency staff to assure smooth functioning of shared responsibilities in related programs.
  • Maintain orientation manual(s) that reflect the current operation of the Substance Use services and DOC program.
  • Provide oversight of the fiscal operation of the Substance Use program and DOC program.
  • Oversee regular chart audits and quality assurance chart reviews.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance and Utilization Review activities as assigned.
  • Maintain Fidelity with the ITCD program.
  • Dictate or type documentation or related paperwork contemporaneously with service provision (within five (5) business days) and in accordance with agency and certification standards.
  • Compile and submit necessary reports for accountability requirements in a timely manner.
  • Open assigned charts and arrange for timely completion of initial and annual psychosocial assessments.
  • Attend pertinent training scheduled by the Department of Mental Health and agency, and participate in the training task force.
  • Serve as a QMHP to provide crisis intervention and resolution services for the agency on a back-up or emergency basis, plus QMHP on-call rotation.
  • Maintain current CPR certification and First Aid certification.
  • Maintain client confidentiality.
  • Perform related work as requested to carry out the purposes, goals and objectives of the agency.

C. QUALIFICATIONS

1. Master’s or Doctorate Degree in counseling psychology, social work, guidance and counseling or related field and has had two (2) years’ experience under the supervision of a mental health professional; and

2. Appropriate certification/licensure for a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP); and

3. Minimum of two (2) years successful supervisory experience in an agency involving service to the mentally ill or substance use disorder; and

4. Demonstrate knowledge of mental health programs, Substance Use programs and skills necessary to facilitate organization and program objectives.

5. Possess a valid driver’s license, automobile and required liability insurance.

Directly responsible to the Chief Operating Officer

Pay: From $60,700.00 per year
