The Executive Director of Campus Health is a key leadership role with a focus on providing visionary and strategic direction for the health and wellness of the student community. The Director is responsible for ensuring that health services and programs align with the values of respect, integrity, excellence, customer service, and teamwork. This includes championing innovative approaches, managing a significant budget, and overseeing the delivery of healthcare services to meet national standards. The role also involves personnel management, advocacy at local, state, and national levels, and maintaining compliance with regulations and quality assurance standards. The Director works in collaboration with the Counseling Center Director to ensure the coordination of health care with appropriate counseling services.Candidates for the Executive Director position must have an advanced degree in healthcare administration, public health, or a related field, with a preference for a medical degree from an accredited school. Essential qualifications include demonstrated leadership in primary health care, knowledge of national trends and best practices in campus health, and the ability to plan, organize, and direct clinical and administrative operations. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills are required, as well as the ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team. Knowledge of accreditation standards, medical laws, and medical ethics is essential for this role.
