06/05/2024 Welcome to the Northern Area Substitute Services (NASS)! We provide substitute teachers for the North Allegheny School District and Hampton Township School District.
Substitute teaching provides a flexible schedule in an ever-changing work environment allowing one to learn and experience new things every day. We are looking for someone who is adaptable, dependable, educated, certified through the PA Department of Education, and enjoys working and communicating well with others.

Teachers with an out of state certification or with a placeholder letter are invited to apply for a Guest Teacher Emergency certification when the next class is available.
Day-to-Day substitute teacher rate at NA: $120.00/day.
Day-to-Day substitute teacher rate at Hampton: Pay starts at $100.00/day. After 30 non-consecutive days, the pay increases to $120.00/day.
