At this time anticipated vacancies exists for 21 Life Skills Support Paraprofessionals within the Norristown Area School District for the 2024-2025 School Year.

Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree or 48 Postsecondary Credits
• (Note: Candidates who do not possess either of the above may request to take a qualifying exam)
• Experience working with children
• Knowledge of community resources and agencies
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong organization skills
• Ability to collaborate with others
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred

Duties:

• Provides instructional support to students
• Supports students with personal care skills including but not limited to toileting, handwashing, dressing, etc
• Implement applied behavior analysis techniques
• Supports and assists students with the completion of assigned tasks either individually or in small groups
• Implement students' behavior plans
• Collect data
• Apply therapeutic aggression control techniques
• Performs related duties as required
• Supports students within the general education classrooms when necessary

Hourly Rate (based on education and experience):

$21.11-$27.62

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.11 - $27.62 per hour
