Job SummaryEvaluates, plans, and administers medically prescribed respiratory modalities. Provides supervision of Certified Respiratory Therapist and students performing respiratory therapy.
Qualifications"1.--Associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an American Medical association approved school of Respiratory Therapy. 2--Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), as recognized by the National Board for Respiratory Care. 3--Must complete 6 hours of continuing educational credits per calendar year as recognized by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision.
"1--Must obtain authorization to practice by letter, provisional or full license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision. 2--RRT status must be achieved. Basic Life Support (BLS) training is prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) training is required within 6 months of hire for Respiratory NICU and to be maintained thru duration of employment. ACLS or PALS is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
