Departmental Overview

Compensation / Benefits

  • $27.84-$45.65/hr. depending on previous work experience.
  • Evening differential $2.50/hr.
  • Night differential $3.00/hr.
  • Weekend differential $3.00/hr.

is a 16-bed unit with a 6-bed OB Emergency Department, 4 antenatal testing rooms and 2 c/section suites. LDR participates in AIM initiatives, PPH protocols with QBL, Severe HTN protocols, and Team Birth as well as multiple other process improvement initiatives. We have a charge nurse each shift to coordinate care. Daily safety huddles and bedside shift report are an important part of our unit culture. We closely follow AWHONN staffing standards for safe patient care. LDR is part of a Center of Excellence in Advanced Perinatal Care Certification (ACPC), accredited through The Joint Commission. Our OBED is nationally accredited through CIHQ and is the only accredited OBED in the country. OBED is staffed by two nurses and an OB Hospitalist 24/7. New grads are welcome and supported through our nationally accredited nurse residency program. Come join our team!

Job Summary

RN essential functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data, establishing goals, planning care strategy.
  • Establishing priorities of care, implementing care, delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care.
  • Evaluating responses to interventions, and performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.
Qualifications

Education

  • Diploma or Associate's degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.

Experience

  • Previous experience in healthcare field preferred.

(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).

Licensure / Certification

  • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) training is preferred upon hire / required within 6 months of hire.
  • Current ALS is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is required within 6 months of hire and maintained.

Other Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • New grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.
  • Fetal monitoring.
  • Pulse oximetry monitoring.
