Norfolk Crush is Hiring an Electrical Technician Near Norfolk, NE

Position Summary:

Norfolk Crush is a facility that processes 110k bushels of soybeans daily into soybean oil, soybean meal, and soy hull pellets. The Electrical Technician is responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting, and recommending solutions to plant instrumentation and electrical problems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development of new electrical/process control systems and be involved with project development as well as new system installations.
  • Complete calibrations and inspections of process control/electrical equipment with written documentation.
  • Install and set hardware and software configurations.
  • Maintain past, current, and future electrical systems prints and control systems configuration documentation.
  • Provide direction to management for the purchase of hardware, software, and electrical systems parts to sustain plant production demands.
  • Provide additional support for mechanical repairs to process equipment when needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least five (5) years of soybean processing or ethanol plant experience.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical blueprints.
  • Skilled in training program design and delivery.
  • Experience in project management, troubleshooting, problem solving, and decision making.
  • Knowledge of the general industry regulations and practices.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to frequently bend, squat, climb, sit, stand, walk, handle objects, reach above shoulder level, use fine finger movements and push/pull.
  • Ability to occasionally kneel.
  • Ability to frequently carry/lift light to heavy loads of up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
