Summary The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for managing the AP invoice scanner application, processing AP invoices through the approval workflow, forecast & departmental data entry, and helping with continuous improvement projects and other initiatives as needed. Responsibilities Accounts Payable Processing – 50% - 60% Adhere to accounts payable policies Manage the electronic reader application and relationship with the service provider to ensure proper functionality, including quality assurance testing Troubleshoot issues that arise with the electronic reader application to ensure that invoices are timely and accurately entered Work with the Supply Chain Department and vendors to ensure invoices meet quality requirements Work with the business to properly account and route invoices through the electronic workflow approval system Review the accounts payable aging to identify and resolve issues, including requesting refunds from vendors in a credit position Identify opportunities to improve processing time and reduce manual effort Provide back-up support for other AP functions FP&A Support – 40% - 50% Entry of actual labor on jobs in timekeeping system Upload of labor worked into ERP system Update of forecast based on input from department leads and FP&A team Input of department expenses & forecast into excel P&L statements Validate and update department & forecast based on received feedback Other similar data-entry tasks to support FP&A Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Education Associates in Business or Accounting preferred Experience & Skills 1-2 years in accounts payable function preferred Experience using an ERP or business system Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Behavioral Attributes Accuracy and attention to detail Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Developed organizational and time-management skills Strong customer service skills Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to assist as needed Working Conditions Work is primarily light duty and requires the ability to regularly lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds. This position requires the ability to sit, stand and walk unassisted. Requires the use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is required to talk and hear.
