Just shy of 1,200 people receive Caregiving with Love in either Shared Living or Adult Family Care. Each person is surrounded by loving, dedicated, experienced and compassionate team members who provide values-based services driven by personal preference, community inclusion, and the goal of a diversity of freely given relationships.

Position Information-

Summary: To provide leadership in the implementation of Nonotuck’s values and key agency principles to provide high quality supports to the people served by the program working in concert the Program Director to ensure all operational needs are met including but not limited to:

Essential Functions and Duties:

  • Overall supervision of all aspects of the program.
  • Supervision of the employees they oversee per the Organizational Chart to ensure optimal service delivery, supports and documentation in accordance with Nonotuck standards. 
  • Oversee the responsibilities as outlined in the job description for APD’s, RN’s, CM’s, CHW’s, placement specialists, clinicians, respite staff and independent contractor contracts
  • Participate in Director’s Team meetings.
  • To act as agency liaison to all funding sources and other services providers as delineated by the ET.
  • Work in concert with the ET to ensure all operational needs are met: including, but not limited to adherence to all agency personnel policies, state and federal laws, and regulations for all service types
  • Coordinate, organize and participate in program emergency on-call response system.
  • Oversee recruitment, selection, and the evaluation of employees, caregivers, respite, direct care, companions, interns, volunteers
  • Responsible for meeting and maintaining licensure and accreditation requirements
  • To participate in agency wide committees.
  • To engage in program development, special projects and any other duties as assigned by the ET
  • Ongoing educational information, trainings to all members & caregivers on health and aging- member specific trainings, seasonal and current health/public health conditions 
  • Any and all duties deemed essential to assist the agency, office, team or people we support
  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle to the home(s) of people served (see requirement below).
  • There will be several times during the course of the year you’ll need to work weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

Competencies:

  • Ability to develop, monitor and assess goal performance measures
  • Ability to stay current re: use a personal computer, video and tele-conferencing, and various types of word processing, spreadsheet, EMR database, and presentation software.
  • Ability to work with diverse types of individuals and opinions.
  • Ability to arrive at consensus to change and improve current practices and procedures.
  • Displays high standards of ethical conduct. Refrains from dishonest behavior. Able to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Works and communicates well with all clients and customers providing professional service.
  • Displays a high level of initiative, effort, attention to detail and commitment to Nonotuck Mission and Values
  • Fosters and facilitates cooperation, pride, trust and group identity and team spirit throughout the organization.
  • Exchanges information with individuals or groups effectively by listening and responding appropriately.
  • Please Understand: This job, and that includes all positions in the agency, can be intense, high paced, and, at times, stressful.
  • Please Understand: Many demands we be placed on the employee during periods of audits or other unexpected times. We will all be expected to support each other.
  • Travel is essential to this position 

Flexibility is both given and received; this position requires coordination strategies and excellent time management

Preferred education and experience:

  • Recent experience with elders, those who have been diagnosed with ID/D, ABI, or who have chronic conditions affecting their ability to live safely in the community.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Valid driver’s license with excellent RMV record (subject to RMV background check).
  • Background check required.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Supervisory and experience with program management preferred.
  • Helpful to have community experience that expands specifically to: Department of Developmental Services, Adult Foster Care Services, HCBS waivers (supporting those with a Brain Injury or those who have chronic conditions affecting their ability to live safely in the community)
