Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a full-time Accounting Clerk. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of financial concepts.
Duties:
- Prepare and process invoices for clients
- Review and verify billing data for accuracy and completeness
- Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies or issues
- Maintain client accounts and update billing information as needed
- Generate monthly financial reports related to billing activities
- Assist with credit analysis and collection efforts
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper billing procedures are followed
- Provide excellent client service by responding to inquiries and resolving billing-related concerns
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Prior experience in billing or accounting is preferred but not required
- Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform accurate calculations
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Knowledge of revenue cycle management processes is a plus
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with journal entries, accounts payable, and account reconciliation is beneficial
- Previous experience in public accounting is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
