Animal Foster and Transfer Coordinator (LOVELAND, CO Location)
Full-Time (40 hrs.), Non-Exempt, Hourly
Reporting to the Supervising Veterinarian, the Coordinator is responsible for implementing the location’s animal foster care and animal transfer programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
*Foster volunteer recruiting, training, supervision, response, recognition and home inspections.
*Oversight of, and coordination with, animal transfer partners.
*Coordination of animals moving in and out of foster care and to and from transfer partners.
*Significant companion animal handling including vaccinating, examining, medicating and monitoring.
*Follows PACFA regulations and guidelines.
*Creates and delivers presentations and communications materials, and assists with SOPs.
*Transport of animals within and out of state and may including some overnight travel.
Requirements and Pluses:
*Associate Degree in biology, animal behavior, animal husbandry, a related field OR equivalent applicable work experience.
*Veterinary assistant/technician and/or supervisory experience a plus.
*Customer service and companion animal care/handling work experience.
*Neonatal animal care experience a plus.
*Euthanasia and vaccination experience a plus.
*Proven bilingual English/Spanish skills a plus and includes a wage premium.
Work Schedule:
*Generally five days a week including a weekend day with overtime as needed.
