Job Summary

NOBO Inc is seeking a full-time, experienced Controller for our multi-state cannabis operations. As the Controller, you will have primary responsibility over the bookkeeping, accounting, and financial reporting for the company, working directly with the CFO and will hold some management responsibilities within the finance department. You will also work in direct contact with the company's accountants.

This individual has a deep understanding of business accounting principles, and Sage Intaact experience. They will undertake all aspects of the company's financial reporting and offer strategic advice based on analysis of the company and business unit financial performance. The Controller is responsible to provide primary oversight for the bookkeeping functions and to ensure accurate financial reporting, including but not limited to: preparation of financial statements, budgeting and cash flow planning, account reconciliation, compiling and analyzing financial reports, tax preparation assistance, and monitoring the overall financial performance of the company.

Job Competencies and Requirements

Preference will be given to candidates with finance or accounting degrees and knowledge of Sage Intacct.

Exhibit a thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual compiled financial statements, including individual

business units and consolidated results across business units and corporate entities.

Calculate and issue a financial analysis summary of the financial statements.

Create cash flow reports for management on a regular schedule.

Oversee bookkeeping functions at the company.

Assist the CFO in:

The creation of annual business unit budgets.

Company valuation projections.

Acquisitions, divestitures, or other transactions.

Relationships with lenders, investors, vendors, partners and other parties as directed.

Other projects as directed.

Create a budget to actual reports and offer analysis and analytical insight, including industry

standard performance metrics.

Work with the CFO and the company's accountants to:

Prepare annual tax return drafts for management review.

Ensure proper tax collection and remittance across business units.

Assist management in tax strategy and structuring of within and across business units and

entities.

Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.

Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested.

Handle sensitive and confidential business matters with discretion.

Demonstrate good judgment in problem-solving involving multiple levels of the organization,

including admin, IT, payroll processing, tax return preparation, and consulting engagements.

Education and Experience

Degree in accounting, finance, or business administration (or equivalent

business experience).

Thorough knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles.

Relevant cannabis industry experience.

Skills and Abilities

Entrepreneurial spirit with attention to detail and problem solving.

Excellent mathematical, spreadsheet, and reasoning skills.

Excellent time-management and organizational skills.

Ability to be a great team member, sense of urgency, high energy, and hands-on approach.

Salary

$90,000-$100,000 depending on qualifications, plus bonus / ISO opportunities.

Working Conditions and Physical Environment

NOBO Inc. operates in an office environment. Must be able to work in an office environment with low to moderate noise levels. Must be able to lift or leverage up to 25 pounds frequently. Must be able to sustain posture in a seated or standing position for prolonged periods of time. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other business machines. Visual and color acuity are required for reading and interpreting legal and financial documents. If the need for confidentiality ends before any deadline to apply for the job, NOBO will then promptly comply with applicable posting requirements in the Act.

No promotion posting to other employees is required for a promotion within one year of an employee being hired with a written representation (whether in an offer letter, in an agreement, or in a policy NOBO published to employees) that NOBO will automatically consider an employee for promotion to a specific position within one year based solely on their own performance and/or NOBO's needs.

No immediate promotion posting is required to fill a position on a temporary basis for up to six months where the hiring is not expected to one permanent, e.g., an acting or interim position. If the hire may become permanent, then the required portion posting must be made in time for employees to apply for the percent position.

Promotion posting requirements do not apply to NOBO employees entirely outside Colorado.

The compensation posting requirements do not apply to either (i) jobs to be performed entirely outside Colorado, or (ii) postings entirely outside Colorado.
