Noblis MSD has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer on the Compute Infrastructure team. This position is a full-time direct hire position that allows a hybrid work environment.
Compute Infrastructure Systems Engineer: As a new member of the Compute Infrastructure (CI) team, candidates would be tasked with designing, integrating, and automating the deployment of complex shipboard computer systems. This role requires the integration of knowledge related to hardware, software, networking, operating system administration, scripting/coding, and security. The ideal candidate is interested in a wide range of IT subjects and is always looking to learn more. While the candidate may not currently have knowledge of all areas listed below, they are excited to put together a personal development plan to develop new skills.

- Hypervisor administration and deployment. VMWare preferred. VCTA a plus, VCP highly desired.
- Experience with enterprise server hardware.
- Strong knowledge of storage I/O protocols (iSCSI / Fibre Channel) and best practices
- Good conceptual knowledge of Ethernet networking. Subnetting, VLANs, IPv4
- OS admin experience (Install/Configure/Troubleshoot) - Windows, Linux, Hypervisors, Cisco IOS
- Strong knowledge in system analysis and architecture
- Coding/Scripting experience: PowerShell, Python, Ansible, version control and knowledge of code deployment. GitHub a plus. Deployed portfolio projects desired.
- Security review and Audit: Network scanning, STIG, protocol analysis, firewalls.

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.
