Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assume respsiblities to manage a large Navy program with a scope of program management; engineering support; logistics management and integrated support; on-site support for concept design and analysis, Detail Design and Construction (DD&C) and post delivery services; and design site for the Program Executive Office Ships (PEO).

This role will provide engineering and technical support for:

• concept and feasibility studies
• preliminary, detail and construction design activities
• contract design activities
• independent design reviews
• In-service ship design and engineering activities
• shipboard installation support
• special studies related to ships/boats/craft, ship systems and/or shipboard equipment.

Qualifications

Required minimum skills and knowledge:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 10 years of relevant work experience
• 3 years of experience managing staff
• 7 years DoD/Navy program management, government technical management or industry management
• DoD/DoN procedures and policies supervisory experience communicating with Flag/SES level personnel

Desired skills and knowledge:

• Master's Degree in Engineering
• Professional Engineer License
• Shipbuilding experience
• Foreign Military Sales experience
• Military Sealift Command procedures and policy experience
