Noblis is Hiring a DTS Travel Coordinator Near Virginia, VA

Responsibilities

Noblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) and their missions’ to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. We are looking to hire a Navy Travel Support Specialist professional to provide support to Noblis programs for the US Navy. 

The Travel Support Specialist will support Aegis Ashore Project in Defense Travel System (DTS). Act as a coordinator based in Dam Neck, VA to provide on-site support to the Aegis Missile Defense System program. 

Ability to complete job functions on a daily basis, providing a high level of critical support to enable the customer to meet mission requirements. 

      •  Act as command DTS Routing Official.
      • Coordinate all Temporary Assigned Cost Travel using Defense Travel System (DTS).
      • Effective oral and written communication skills.
      • Interact with our Travel Management Company for emergent traveler assistance.
      • Assist Authorizing Official in formulation of yearly command travel budget.
      • Ensure personnel properly request TDY travel.
      • Monitor all authorizations and vouchers, in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulations and Navy requirements.
      • Verify that all required substantiating documents are electronically attached to each travel voucher.
      • Coordinate travel authorizations with other entities/personnel from external agencies for cross-organizational travel.
      • Coordinate with the GTCC Travel Card APC and travelers to ensure accurate travel card information is in DTS user profiles.
      • NATO travel order preparation.
      • Provide DTS travel briefings to teams deploying overseas.
      • Assist Non DTS-Entry Agents in the preparation and modification of travel authorizations and vouchers.
      • Must have flexibility in after-hours customer service, due to the amount and frequency of overseas travelers and time zone differences.
      • Ability to work Monday through Friday on-location in a standard Navy office setting.

Required Qualifications

  • HS Diploma and 4 years experience is required
  • Secret clearance is required

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior Navy experience is preferred
  • Citibank government travel card program experience is preferred

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.

Posted Salary Range

USD $27.82 - USD $46.68 /Hr.
