Noble Education Initiative is Hiring a NEI - Instructional Coach Near Murfreesboro, TN

JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for providing curriculum training and support to teachers and assisting with curriculum implementation. Conducts ongoing staff development, performs periodic classroom visitations, collects and reports quarterly student data, and monitors programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and conducts in-service training for all teachers regarding the curriculum, researched-based instructional strategies, and best practices.
  • Performs periodic classroom visitations, assists teachers in the improvement of instructional performance, performs periodic lesson plan reviews, and monitors improvement.
  • Demonstrates lessons in classroom situations for observation by teachers.
  • Trains new teachers in the use of PowerSchool, Schoology, and school-based systems and procedures.
  • Facilitates grade level and/or subject area team meetings.
  • Serves as a resource to school administrators and content area teachers in identifying instructional needs, adapting instructional techniques, and implementing best practice strategies across the curriculum.
  • Assists with the development of school literacy initiatives.
  • Collects, analyzes, and reports school and student benchmark data.
  • Attends meetings as required.

7. Demonstrates proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), PowerSchool and email communications.

8. Looks for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.

9. Strives to implement best practices and positive character education consistently.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree (BA) from an accredited college, university or equivalent.

· Master’s Degree preferred.

· Minimum of three (3) years of K-12 classroom teaching with demonstrable positive impact on achievement.

· Demonstrated evidence of involvement in school activities involving leadership responsibilities.

· Possession of valid TN teaching certification (as appropriate).

· Successful results of criminal and employment background check.

· Effective instructional delivery techniques and excellent communication skills.

· Commitment to organization values.

· Adherence to the requirements of the TN Code of Ethics for the Education Profession.

· Such alternatives to the above requirements as NEI may find appropriate and acceptable.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

· Minimal physical exertion required. 

· 25% Travel within or outside the State of TN.

· Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with NEI salary and benefit policy. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by Noble Education Initiative.

FLSA OVERTIME CATEGORY:
Job is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Performance will be evaluated in accordance with Noble Education Initiative Policy.

The Noble Education Initiative Human Resources Department retains the sole right and discretion to make changes to this job description. Any employee making changes unauthorized by Human Resources Department will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.
