POSITION SUMMARY

Do you love providing compassionate care to those who suffer from illnesses or injuries? NMC Health is proud to set a 5-Star standard for healthcare, pride ourselves maintaining lower than average nurse to patient ratios and in need of a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Operating Room. In this role, you will provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures which includes preparing operating rooms and equipment for use, assessment of patient and family needs, planning, coordination, teaching, counseling, and direct physical care. Your skills will be used and are an essential aspect of care provision before, during and after procedures while assisting others in providing delegated aspects of care and function as a member of the interdisciplinary team.

Multiple openings - full-time day shift with variable hours and call required. 

Responsibilities

As of 1/21/22, NMC Health requires all employees to be vaccinated unless a medical or religious exemption is needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and experience:

• Associate's degree (ADN) or Bachelor's degree (BSN) from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school of nursing or diploma in nursing required
• Prior OR experience preferred 

Licensure, registration and certification:

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Kansas
• Certification in CPR/Basic Life Support.
• Recommended Certification in Advance Cardiac Life Support per unit discretion.
• Additional certifications may become necessary dependent on the unit assigned.
