Niyam is seeking a Project Manager 1/Assistant Project Manager to join our team in support of our work with FEMA. We offer competitive compensation and benefits. Position currently allows remote work but may require on-site work when COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

Role and Responsibilities

Assembling the project team and responsible for reporting and documenting to FEMA. Assist group members of teams formed in developing information system specifications and functionality to communicate their ideas, information, and opinions more effectively. Manage the team meetings and workshops. Keep the team focused on the subject at hand to achieve objectives. Assures discussions are brought to conclusion.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident with ability to obtain Public Trust Security Clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in computer science, information technology systems or related subject
• At least 7 years of experience supporting/managing IT projects including task management/tracking and performance management
• Conducting, Planning and Implementing various technical projects
• Advanced computer skills and in-depth knowledge of different operating systems, network administration and service desk administration
• Project management and leadership skills for managing projects and team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical issues
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to handle issues as they arise
• Organization and time management skills to keep projects on track and within budget
• Excellent resource planning and task scheduling skill

• Agile experience
• PMP Certification
• Government experience
• Current or Previous Public Trust Clearance
