Nissin International Transport is Hiring a Logistics Agent Near Jamaica, NY
- Arrange the domestic transport and Tracking/tracing of shipments
- Receive, review, and process import-export documentation such as B/L and AWB
- Prepares reports of transactions to facilitate billing of shippers and foreign carriers. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensure to book vessel or flight arrangement that will meet customer's requested ETA.
- Coordinate any necessary surface transportation to airports or pier to make sure that delivery has been completed.
- Review all entries, client invoice packages and file record keeping prior to submitting to supervisor for payment and final review.
- Works with other Nissin departments in meeting Customer and international deadlines,
- Data Entry using Nissin export system and Oracle financials
- Ensures cargo delivery is on schedule
- Ensures that all documents are in proper order Scan, fax and file documents
- Handles data entry processes, classifications and valuations.
- Provides excellent Customer Service to local and international customers, primarily Japanese companies
- Will be cross-trained in other areas of freight forwarding operations to support the branch operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
- Associate of Arts degree; some college coursework preferred
- 1-2 years of industry experience preferred.
- Some warehouse experience preferred
- Forklift Certification preferred
- Proficient in MS Office and knowledge of export computer systems
- Accurate Data entry skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Detail oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Must provide excellent Customer Service and able to work well in a team environment, as well as being able to work independently.
- Must be able to multitask and work under stressful conditions.
- Must have strong math skills
- Lifting 30 lbs
