About the Position
Join NIP Group as the Division Controller, where you will assume a pivotal role in directing the financial reporting, control, and treasury functions of a key division within our organization. With ultimate accountability for all finance functions relating to this division, you will oversee accounting controls critical to steering our financial operations, ensuring unwavering compliance, consistently delivering high quality, and fostering continuous improvement practices.
As a results-driven Financial Controller, you will provide leadership and hands-on management to our accounting team in the Insurance Company division. Your responsibilities include fostering collaboration, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial information, and preparing statutory financial statements, regulatory filings, and yellow book preparation. You will manage financial close processes, coordinate external audits, conduct in-depth financial analysis, engage stakeholders, and offer technical accounting guidance and support. Moreover, this role offers an opportunity to apply your insurance accounting knowledge and learn Governmental Accounting Standards for Governmental Risk and Insurance Pools.

What You'll Do
Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.
Spearhead development of a comprehensive accounting controls framework that guarantees the integrity, accuracy, and security of financial data across the division.
Monitor and ensure compliance with appropriate accounting principles, industry regulations, and corporate policies.
Develop and implement treasury strategies that optimize liquidity management, ensure appropriate asset-liability matching, and maximize investment yield all while maintaining appropriate adherence to conservativism and overall risk mitigation strategies.
Coordinate and maintain relationships with financial institutions, overseeing banking activities, cash management, and debt financing (if needed).
Ensure accurate and corporate tax reporting and filings through oversight and collaboration with external tax professionals.
Build strong knowledge and take active ownership of all aspects of divisional operations to ensure appropriate financial recognition of transactions. Regularly update policies and procedures, as needed, to ensure knowledge capture for all Finance team members.
Oversee completion of annual financial audits and regulatory examinations in partnership with Finance and operational partners, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and adherence to relevant accounting frameworks.
Foster a culture of innovation, guiding the team to identify and adopt best practices in accounting controls.
Utilize your exceptional leadership abilities to set a positive example as a leader in the Finance team including mentoring and guiding a high-performing team of finance professionals.
Provide the executive team with financial insights, impactful reporting, and detailed analysis to facilitate strategic decision-making.
Collaborate closely with operational leaders to ensure dynamic, reliable, and timely delivery of financial and operational data within their respective domains to drive enhanced data-driven decision making.
What You'll Bring
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.;
Masters degree in Business or Accounting is an advantage.
CPA or equivalent is an advantage.
Experience
Minimum of seven years experience in public accounting, preferably auditing insurance entities.
Subsequent experience working in a carrier or managing general agency environment, with a clear progression of responsibilities.
Mastery of accounting principles, financial regulations, and a deep understanding of comprehensive accounting controls.
Proven ability to lead and manage finance teams, coupled with a history of cultivating talent and driving strategic leadership.
Competencies
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including a proven track record of making decisive, data-driven decisions.
Outstanding communication oversight and presentation skills, enabling you to convey intricate financial concepts effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
Distinguished track record of fostering process innovation, operational efficiency, and the successful implementation of transformative accounting controls.
Technologically adept, with fluency in contemporary financial software and systems.
