Senior Electrical Engineer
Who we are…
We are a group of scientists, engineers, designers, technicians, and many others who are dedicated to changing the world by developing medical isotopes to treat and eradicate cancer. We also enjoy darts, cornhole, ping-pong, take-out for group lunches, chili cook-offs, and other fun events that makes our company a community where we make a life, not just a living.
Who you are…
Your critical thinking and innovative spirit enables you to envision, design, build, test, and manage support and diagnostics systems for superconducting particle accelerators. You have an incredible talent for coaching and guiding early career engineers and techs, creating partnerships that enhance the workplace culture.
What you can expect to work on…
Senior engineers provide expert level skill in high-power superconducting particle accelerators involving slow and fast controls, beam diagnostics, and high-power microwave engineering with an emphasis on robust designs that can operate long-term in a challenging production environment in support of the three major programs in the development of medical isotopes. You will design, develop, test, and upgrade systems for present and future accelerators. Contribute to the operation of particle accelerators and peripheral equipment/technology. Confirm system capabilities by designing testing methods. Establish operational procedures and safety documentation. Carry out analog circuit simulations as well as numerical field calculators to produce engineering specifications for system upgrades and future system. You will work closely with physicists, controls and other engineers.
What you need to succeed…
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – you know how to develop & maintain strong relationships with all levels/teams of the organization.
Understand how to integrate into a new team/organization – appreciate the history of current state and use just the right pace to reach an improved future state.
Understand your own communication and learning styles, the styles of others, and are able to find the right path to connect the two.
You should probably check these boxes…
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering.
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
Experience designing, building, and testing hardware.
Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience within manufacturing environment with emphasis on R&D and prototype work.
Several years of experience with developing and coordinating cohesive teams to create exceptional customer relationships and deliver remarkable outcomes.
Great to have…
Experience working with any of the following special processes: cryogenics, superconducting materials, chemical processing, radioactive materials, vacuum pumps, or clean room operations.
Experience working in an FDA regulated environment.
Please provide a cover letter specifically describing the nature of your technical expertise.
