Summary

SUMMARY:

* This position will support our Automated Lab functions

Performs moderate and high complexity clinical laboratory tests in one or more of the following disciplines: Blood Bank, Microbiology, Manual Procedures, and Automated Procedures

Performs automated, semi-automated, or manual laboratory testing.
Determines acceptability of specimens and reagents.
Performs equipment maintenance, calibration, and quality control.
Effectively communicates technical information and maintains patient privacy
Completes competency and performance improvement exercises and assists with training of employees and students

REQUIREMENTS:

Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college) or Bachelor's Degree; requires knowledge of a specialized field
MLT (ASCP or AMT) or MT (ASCP or AMT) or MLS(ASCP) preferred at hire, but at minimum must pass certification exam within 1 year of hire
