SUMMARY: 

* This position will support our Automated Lab functions

Performs moderate and high complexity clinical laboratory tests in one or more of the following disciplines: Blood Bank, Microbiology, Manual Procedures, and Automated Procedures

• Performs automated, semi-automated, or manual laboratory testing.
• Determines acceptability of specimens and reagents.
• Performs equipment maintenance, calibration, and quality control.
• Effectively communicates technical information and maintains patient privacy
• Completes competency and performance improvement exercises and assists with training of employees and students

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college) or Bachelor's Degree; requires knowledge of a specialized field
• MLT (ASCP or AMT) or MT (ASCP or AMT) or MLS(ASCP) preferred at hire, but at minimum must pass certification exam within 1 year of hire
