As a Director of NIQ’s Pet Vertical, you are accountable for the continued positioning of NIQ as a Pet industry expert and leader, always on the forefront of the latest trends. You will help shape the industry’s thinking about the current and future state of the Pet industry and be key source of expertise to NIQ clients and trade publications.

• A leader passionate about creating forward-thinking insights and working with client teams to bring industry expertise to them and to their clients

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Ability to learn new NIQ solutions and derive insights to help lead to conversations about NIQ’s industry leading capabilities
• Building meaningful client relationships with client stakeholders and teams
• Representing Nielsen externally, in thought leadership, as part of industry conferences and/or with the media
• Representing voice of customer to internal product development, product marketing, communications and delivery teams
• Working collaboratively with other product sales leads & cross functional partners

Are you a passionate, savvy leader with a deep sense of urgency and accountability to deliver thought provoking insights and help clients understand what is next? Can you effectively tell a story that captures the audience, no matter what level, and brings them along your journey? Are you able to work collaboratively, as part of a remote team within a dynamic and challenging environment while maintaining high standards? Do you have experience in working with complex client relationships and client issue resolution?

QUALIFICATIONS

• 8-12 years’ experience in a relevant industry (of Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods, Consulting, Information, Sales, Analytics or similar)
• Relevant experience with research techniques & solutions in the related industries
• Effective in senior level communications, influencing & negotiation
• Mission-driven and passionate about serving a purpose
• Excellent awareness of market conditions and client business environment
• Demonstrated record of creating and growing sales revenue year over year
• Analytical, able to synthesize different data sources, and make connections across varied input
• Knowledge of new products, consumer packaged goods, and market research preferred
• Familiarity with NIQ tools, applications and platforms a plus
• Very strong written and oral communication; “journalistic” and “journalistic sensibilities”
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Willingness to travel
