We are looking for a CPG Contract Strategy & Negotiation Renewal Lead who will be responsible for developing the strategy, the commercial construct, and negotiating a contract renewal for our organization.

Remote based role based in the US. Candidates must be physically located within the US.

Job Description

As a CPG Contract Strategy & Negotiation Renewal Lead you will support a critical part of our business by aiding in the retention and growth of our largest clients. You will be part of a team of unique experts focused against understanding how and why our clients license solutions from NIQ to translate into value and commitment via a contract. Leveraging your expertise, you will develop recommendations and strategies for a deal including solutions, pricing, and terms to address current and future needs. You will collaborate across various internal partners to align and negotiate the appropriate approach supporting the revenue function of our organization. In this role you will be critical to ensuring our offers are accurate, timely and best represent the strategy developed.

Responsibilities

  • Plan renewal opportunities in advance year to year to set goal and objectives.
  • Assess and track client health to formulate an objective assessment of risks and opportunities.
  • Develop the renewal strategy for US manufacturing clients.
  • Clear and concise communicate skills to effectively engage with senior leaders.
  • Lead the analysis and preparation of contract Renewals and Competitive Request for Proposals (RFP).
  • Coach and consult internal teams regarding the generation of the deal regarding solutions, incentives, and terms.
  • Collaborate internally with cross-functional teams to align the strategy.
  • Effectively challenge and influence internal teams.
  • Understand NIQ’s corporate strategy to aid in the process and proposed solutions.
  • Partner with account leads to develop win themes aligning client priorities to NIQ.
  • Review and interpret contract terms and conditions.
  • Negotiate agreements with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and liabilities associated with contracts.
  • Ensure that contracts comply with requirements.
  • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to develop contract terms.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business, finance, or related field.
  • 10 years’ experience in a relevant industry.
  • CPG experience from a related company preferred.
  • Proven experience as a contract negotiator or similar role.
  • Self-starter and extremely motivated to achieve deadlines.
  • Familiarity with NIQ solutions, tools and applications.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex information and contracts.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective listening skills.
  • Ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic Thinking.
