Nidec VAMCO - Electrical Engineer (System Design/Project Management)

Nidec Vamco (formerly Vamco International) has an immediate opening for an Electrical Design Engineer. Nidec Vamco is an international producer of advanced factory automation equipment and the world leading supplier of Electric Vehicle traction motor production systems.

We have an immediate opening in our Electrical Engineering Department for a system design and project management engineer. The position requires working with customers, sales, and vendors on custom engineered automation solutions.

Electrical Engineer Duties:

• Interface with customer to define and verify scope, plans, and deliverables.
• Design electrical schematics and custom electrical panel drawings using E-Plan CAE software.
• Program PLC's and Safety Controllers.
• Commission and test complex automation systems.

Electrical Engineer Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelor of Science degree in an electrical related discipline such as: Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Able to effectively communicate with customers and sales personnel.
• PLC programming experience a plus.
• Ability thrive while working both independently and in a team setting.
